DESCRIPTION:The VFW George Dokken Post 2118 and Auxiliary is partnering with the Brookings Regional Growth Alliance for America’s 250th Birthday by creating a Patriots’ Flag Mural. The mosaic mural will showcase over 950 tiles painted by our community. The finished mural will be displayed on the North side of the VFW Post Home at 520 Main Avenue\, Brookings\, SD. \nThe VFW and Auxiliary will be hosting painting parties on April 16 (5-7pm) and April 25 (10am-1pm). Food and drinks will be available with all monies collected for veterans and our many community activities.\nMark your calendar for the unveiling of the mural on Thursday\, June 4\, 2026 at 7pm in the parking lot North of 520 Main Avenue.
