About
The Research Park plays a unique role in science and technology-based economic development. It provides a central location where the university can help solve problems of industry. The idea was formed by the City of Brookings, Brookings County, Brookings Economic Development Corporation, South Dakota State University, SDSU Foundation, and several private sector interests. The Research Park at SDSU is a place where faculty, students, community, and industry can work together to commercialize innovations. The Park offers up to 125 acres of shovel-ready sites which includes utility, telecommunications, streets and complete infrastructure amenities. The Brookings Innovation Center serves as the headquarters for the Research Park at SDSU and as a business incubator for startup companies and entrepreneurs.
