Brookings, S.D. — 2/13/2025— The Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Young Professional Awards, recognizing outstanding young professionals who are making an impact in their careers and the community. This year, the program has expanded to honor even more individuals through three award categories.

“These awards celebrate the next generation of leaders who are shaping the future of Brookings,” said Casey Stickland, Outreach Coordinator at the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage businesses, colleagues, and community members to nominate young professionals who exemplify leadership, innovation, and a dedication to making a difference.”

Award Categories:

• Emerging Leaders Award – Recognizing young professionals aged 30 and under who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and career growth.
• Community Impact Award – Honoring individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the Brookings community through volunteerism and service.
• Young Professional of the Year Award – The highest honor, awarded to a professional who excels in leadership, innovation, and community engagement.

Nominations are open now through Friday, March 7. Nominees must be employed by a Chamber member business. Winners will be recognized at the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Celebration on Thursday, April 3rd.
